Emplacement that can be garrisoned by infantry and heavy machine guns for defensive bonuses.

The Concrete Bunker is a Wehrmacht structure. In skirmishes it can be constructed by the Pioneer Squad, the Fallschirmpioneer Squad (exclusively available to the Luftwaffe Battlegroup), and the Coastal Reserves Squad (exclusively available to the Italian Coastal Battlegroup) in any friendly territory.

Unlike other factions, the Bunker is the most durable defensive structure compared to other equivalent defensive structures like the USF Fighting Position, featuring more health and armour comparatively.

The structure on its own does nothing. It can be garrisoned by a single infantry squad, including HMG teams. As with other garrisons, other heavy weapons teams like mortars or AT guns cannot garrison inside it. Units garrisoned inside benefit from the Fortified Combat Position Bonus passive, which grants the garrisoned squad +25% accuracy and +30% rate of fire.

When garrisoned, it allows up to 6 models to fire from the front, 3-4 from the side, and 2 from the rear. As such, placement is important as the bunker is less effective when flanked.

By default, the Concrete Bunker comes with 3 upgrade options, converting it for a different purpose at the cost of Munitions.

  • MG 42 Bunker: Equips the bunker with a forward facing machine gun. Can suppress infantry. Can only fire in the forward facing arc. Loses ability to garrison troops.

  • Repair Bunker: The bunker will passively repair any nearby damaged friendly vehicles or structures, including itself, at a rate of +6 hp per second. Loses ability to garrison troops.

  • Medical Bunker: The bunker will passively heal any nearby damaged friendly squads, and can reinforce nearby squads. Also spawns two invulnerable, untargetable medics that will retrieve the player's casualties from the field, creating free reinforcements for each casualty brought back. Loses ability to garrison troops.

When the Support Bunkers perk is chosen from the Italian Coastal Battlegroup, an additional upgrade option is available:

  • Anti-tank Bunker: Equips the bunker with an AT weapon. Essentially a Pak 40 Anti-tank Gun Team inside a bunker, with similar offensive stats. Effective against vehicles, ineffective against infantry. Can only fire within its forward facing arc. Loses ability to garrison troops.

Note that the Command Bunker must be built separately as it is not available as a conversion upgrade to the regular bunker. The Command Bunker is available when the Support Bunkers perk is chosen from the Italian Coastal Battlegroup.

As with any other structure, it is quite hardy against small arms but is vulnerable to artillery, anti-tank weapons, and flamethrowers.
