Can heal and reinforce nearby infantry squads and team weapons. Can act as a retreat point.
Note: This page refers to a structure available exclusively with the UKF Air and Sea Battlegroup. This is typically referred to as a Forward Field Infirmary to reduce confusion. For the base building that any UKF player can construct, see this page:
The Field Infimary is a UKF structure. Note there are two structures with the same name. This particular structure is available when the battlegroup perk called Supply Surplus is chosen. Once acquired, the UKF player will be able to select any owned resource node for construction options, without requiring sending a unit to physically build it. Supply Surplus allows the player to build discounted Resource Caches on any owned Munitions or Fuel point, providing a +50% boost to the income provided from that specific point. In addition, Manpower nodes are also granted the option of building a forward Field Infirmary for the same discounted Manpower price (does not cost Munitions or Fuel).
This forward Field Infirmary, once constructed, provides passive healing to nearby friendly troops, while also allowing reinforcement of squads. It also can act as a Retreat point via an ability, which when toggled on allows the player's units to retreat to it instead of the HQ, assuming the forward Field Infirmary is closer to said unit.
The forward Field Infirmary can be incredibly cost efficient as it overall costs far less resources to heal and reinforce troops in a forward position, compared to teching up and producing a
Uniquely, by being able to toggle on acting as a Retreat point, the forward Field Infirmary can be used to greatly shorten the distance for retreating units, allowing one to maintain a stronger field presence especially in team games where maps are far larger.
Note that reinforcement time is doubled (+100%) if the reinforcing units are located 45+ meters away from HQ. The reinforcement time is tripled (+200% total) for units at that distance and are also is engaged in combat.
Opponents will not be able to capture the Manpower node it is built on until the Field Infirmary is destroyed.
