Explosive device that must be placed on Territory or Victory Points. Fires a flare providing vision and a single artillery shell at the point when it is contested by enemy units. Can be detected by minesweepers.
As of the July 16 2024 Onyx Shark patch, this battlegroup perk has been changed. Due to the developers utilizing a different 'unit/file', see this page for the newly updated wiki page on Artillery Trip Wire Flares:
Artillery Trip Wire Flares are a type of 'land mine' available to the UKF. In skirmishes, they are exclusively only available with the Australian Defense Battlegroup. Once the Battlegroup perk of the same name is acquired, the Royal Engineer Section and the Australian Light Infantry Section gain the ability to construct these.
For a Munitions cost, these can be built anywhere, much like a regular land mine. Once built, they behave exactly like land mines - they are fully camouflaged and can only be revealed by minesweepers.
Once an enemy unit moves too closely to the trap, it will trigger. The Artillery Trip Wire Flare will detonate, releasing a flare that will reveal the surrounding area for a short duration. Simultaneously, a single artillery shell will be fired off-map at the area, potentially damaging the nearby enemy unit.
Artillery Tripwire Flares
Can now be planted in any location following traditional mine placement. Detonates like regular mines that detonate when walked over. Flare and artillery effects remain the same.
