Offensively, it sports a very powerful indirect fire weapon in a similar fashion to units like the USF
This unit does not come with any default abilities. At veterancy level 1, it gains the Shatter Will active ability. When activated the tank will weaken and slow down nearby enemy infantry for a lengthy duration, though this cannot be activated / will be cancelled if the tank receives 'engine damaged' status. See veterancy section for more info.
Overall, the Sturmpanzer is a behemoth of a tank, and in many ways is the ultimate infantry support weapon. It can use its incredible durability to push through the frontlines and soak enemy fire for other units, then get into range to destroy entrenched positions. Once it unlocks its veteran ability, it can double down on its infantry support role, allowing to severely bully enemy infantry by simply driving up into closer range while the ability is active. Naturally, this unit is not effective against other vehicles and so will need support when it comes to anti-tank duties. As usual with elite units, the Sturmpanzer is incredibly expensive and thus has very high production cost, upkeep, and pop cap. As with any other heavy tank it also lacks mobility and care must be taken as it can be difficult to pull out of bad situations.

Shatter Will: Active ability gained upon reaching veterancy level 1. Once activated, the Sturmpanzer will emit repeating pulsating 'shockwave' effects from itself for a duration of 30 seconds total. Nearby enemy infantry that are touched by this shockwave will be afflicted by a -20% rate of fire and -50% movement speed penalty. Enemy infantry affected by this are given these penalties for 10 seconds immediately - the Sturmpanzer does not need to remain nearby. Once the debuff expires, it can be reapplied if they remain near the tank and are hit by the ability again. This ability cannot be used / will be cancelled if the Sturmpanzer receives the 'engine damaged' status, so be wary of anti-tank snares and land mines. A powerful ability that further enhances the tank's infantry support role, this makes it a menace to enemy infantry should it be allowed to push through into closer ranges.
Bunker Buster Barrage: Active ability gained upon reaching veterancy level 1. Once activated at a target location, the Sturmpanzer will fire a volley of up to 4 specialized rounds total. These rounds explode after a short delay (rather than immediately on impact) after landing, dealing increased damage especially against structures. It should be noted that this ability does not interfere with the unit's attack cooldown, and thus can be cheekily used as a massive damage burst by allowing the Sturmpanzer to fire off multiple rounds at a target area in short succession. While generally ineffective against vehicles due to their mobility, Bunker Buster Barrage can deal a surprising amount of damage should an armoured target stand still and take hits from the entire ability. This old veteran ability has since been replaced with the above.

Smoke Canisters: Active ability only available to this unit when the Raid Package perk is obtained within the Mechanized Battlegroup. When activated, the unit drops smoke directly at its location, creating sight-obscuring smoke clouds. Useful for various purposes, especially as a defensive tool to retreat in the face of enemy fire.

Timed ability. Generates an aura around the Brummbar that debuffs nearby infantry once and then retriggers every 10 seconds for 30 seconds. Reduces affected infantry speed by 50% and their weapon cooldown and reload speeds by 20%. Effects do not stack. Lasts for 10 seconds.

These units were dealing too much damage to vehicles on deflection hits, reducing the importance of a vehicle’s armor. We are reducing the deflection damage to reduce how quickly these units can wear down heavier vehicles through frontal attacks.
