Heavy tank effective against infantry, vehicles, and can damage tanks. High health, strong frontal and side armor, but slow speed.

The Churchill IV Heavy Tank is an elite UKF heavy tank. In skirmishes it is only available exclusively with the British Armored Battlegroup. Specifically, once the appropriate perk is unlocked, this unit becomes available to produce from the . It is the second heaviest tank in terms of durability available to the Allies in multiplayer skirmishes, falling behind the.

This unit has the largest health of all units in the game, tied with the and , in addition to having one of the highest armour values. As such, many weapons will struggle to penetrate its frontal armour though as with all vehicles, its flanks are vulnerabilities.

With such a high amount of durability it makes an excellent anchor unit to work around, either defending strategic areas or as a spearhead to push through the frontline. By default it comes with the active ability called Infantry Support Smoke, which allows it to create a smokescreen even while moving.

Upon reaching veterancy level 1 it gains the passive Critical Repair, which allows it to passively remove immobilization states such as 'Engined Damaged' when out of combat.

Offensively, the Churchill's main cannon is nearly identical to the one used by the USF , featuring the same accuracy, damage, and penetration values. This also means this weapon is essentially a better version of the 's weapon, offering better damage and penetration comparatively, though with a lower rate of fire. In particular, it has double the penetration of the Matilda's main cannon, making it far more reliable against vehicles. While it still is somewhat lacking in penetration value at range, it overall has a decent chance of penetrating the frontal armour of a at long range, and it can reliably penetrate nearly all Axis armour at close range. The Churchill also comes with an additional hull machine gun that the Matilda lacks, adding to its improved damage per second (DPS) against infantry.

As with most heavy tanks, it comes with the downside of more expensive costs to field, in addition to low mobility. As such, care must be taken as it can be difficult to pull out of bad situations if it is flanked. This unit is noticeably faster than the Black Prince, although it has slightly lower speed than the Tiger Tank.

This unit benefits from the Armored Vehicle Training upgrade available at the .

Veterancy Abilities

  • Critical Repair: Passive ability granted upon reaching veterancy level 1. The unit will automatically remove immobilization critical states, such as 'Engine Damaged', when out of combat. This happens fairly quickly once out of combat, and is very handy as otherwise a damaged engine would require repairing the unit all the way back up to full health to remove the state.

  • The Churchill's main cannon is nearly identical to the main cannon of the USF , featuring identical accuracy, damage, and penetration values but a smaller area of effect.

  • The Churchill's main cannon is essentially a better version of the Matilda's main cannon, featuring higher damage and significantly higher penetration (basically double the penetration values). This makes it far more reliable against vehicles compared to the Matilda.
