Medium tank very effective against infantry and light vehicles. Can shoot down aircraft.
The Crusader AA Medium Tank is a UKF medium tank. In skirmishes it is only available as a call-in from the British Armored Battlegroup.
As the name implies, the Crusader AA has an anti-aircraft weapon mounted rather than typical tank cannons. This makes it one of the very few UKF units that can target and shoot down aircraft.
Against ground targets, it is most effective against infantry and light vehicles. Its weapon deals area of effect damage and thus is a bit more capable of damaging infantry even in cover. Its lack of penetration means it will struggle against most armour. Stat wise, the unit is nearly identical to the Crusader II, with the main difference obviously being its weapon. This means it still has relatively low durability and care must be taken with direct frontal engagements with anti-tank weaponry, though it also boasts good speed for a tank its size.
At veterancy level 1 it gains the Rapid Fire ability, which increases rate of fire significantly when activated.
This unit benefits from the Armored Vehicle Training upgrade available at the Training Center.
