Fast-moving medium tank effective against light vehicles and infantry. Most effective when flanking. Fast rate of fire, low weapon penetration Lower health than other medium tanks
The Crusader II Medium Tank is a UKF medium tank unit. In skirmishes it is available from the
On the other hand, all this mobility comes with less durability and penetration than its counterparts. Care should be taken with the Crusader, as it almost should be treated like a light tank, with focus on flanking enemies instead of fighting head-on. Its main weapon penetration is quite lacking, especially at long range, further emphasizing the need to flank heavier targets as it will usually struggle to penetrate frontal armour. For reference, its default cannon is slightly better than the
However, the Crusader does feature one of the fastest fire rates for a regular tank cannon. Thanks to its low reload time, it fires far more frequently compared to other tanks. This makes it particularly excel at taking down light vehicles, especially when combined with its high mobility. Thanks to its high rate of fire, it subsequently has a high damage per second (DPS) rate which means it can be a substantial threat to infantry if the Crusader is not dealt with.
The 6-Pounder Gun Conversion upgrade changes the weapon on the tank, specializing the tank into a more dedicated anti-tank role. This upgrade increases its performance against vehicles by boosting damage and penetration significantly, but at the cost of slightly lower rate of fire and significantly decreased anti-infantry performance. Cosmetically, the vehicle will become the
It should be noted that the close range penetration value of the upgraded Crusader is very high, making it reliable against most Axis armour if one can close the gap.

Heroic Charge: Passive ability granted upon reaching veterancy level 1. Upon entering combat the Crusader gains a massive bonus to acceleration, movement speed and rate of fire for a duration of 10 seconds. After the duration ends, the passive can only be re-triggered after the tank goes out of combat and Heroic Charge's cooldown has also ended (to prevent it from reactivating over and over in the middle of fights).
This passive adds to the incredible hit and run strength of the Crusader, and opens up its offensive option immensely. The sudden speed surge allows it to make impressive dives, flanking plays, and to chase threats easily. It can also be used to punish an opponent for poor positioning, even if it appeared to be safe, thanks to how fast the Crusader can outpace units.

6-Pounder Gun Conversion: Upgrades the Crusader's main cannon for a Munitions cost, increasing damage and penetration significantly at the cost of slightly reduced rate of fire and significantly decreased anti-infantry performance (its area of effect goes down significantly). This upgrade specializes the Crusader into a more dedicated anti-tank role, making it more reliable at fighting heavier armour but far less effective at anti-infantry duties. Cosmetically the unit will change to the

Crusader II Medium Tank
The Crusader is being adjusted to be a fast-firing tank that excels at taking out lighter vehicles or flanking heavier targets. These changes will give the Crusader a more defined role in the British tank roster as a cheap high-damage-per-second unit that is somewhat fragile if it is not using its speed and mobility to its full extent. Anti-infantry performance has been reduced to accommodate for the significant rate of fire increase.
The upgrade to the Crusader has also been reworked to be a role change that gives up its anti-infantry performance to be a dedicated anti-armor vehicle that is used in close-range flanking attacks or for chasing after wounded vehicles.
