When the M3 receives the M45 Quad Mount Conversion upgrade, it converts it to this unit. This grants the M3 an anti-air weapon that is also effective against infantry. In exchange, it loses all previous utility perks, including the ability to transport troops, tow weapons, reinforce infantry, re-crew abandoned weapons, and loss of the Support Veterancy passive.
Stats-wise this unit is nearly identical with exception of slightly lower speed and higher upkeep. At veterancy level 1 it gains the choice of picking between Shoot And Scoot ability or the Button Vehicle ability, allowing a large burst of speed or the ability to debilitate enemy vehicles. See below sections for more info.
The quad mount is capable of shooting down aircraft, making it one of very few USF units that can do so. Against ground targets, this weapon is quite effective against infantry, though it will not suppress them like the DAK
If this unit is attained very early on, it can be a powerful 'shock' vehicle, utilizing its fast mobility and strong weapon to overrun infantry squads before appropriate anti-vehicle measures are deployed. It still retains the same low durability as the regular M3 truck, and thus careful micromanagement is needed to keep it alive on the field.

All USF units can choose between one of two veterancy abilities specific to them, upon reaching veterancy level 1.
Shoot and Scoot: Active ability. Once activated, the unit temporarily gains increased speed and rotation rate, as well as reduced received accuracy while moving for a short duration. A generic mobility boost, this is useful for chasing or retreating with ease.
Button Vehicle: Active ability. Once activated, enemy vehicles hit by the M16 will gain temporarily reduced sight range and speed penalties. These include -50% vision, speed, rotation rate, and acceleration. Non-penetrating hits (deflections) will instead incur a smaller -25% penalty. A handy ability that allows the quad mount, which normally is ineffective against armoured targets, to debilitate an enemy vehicle. Combine this with other anti-vehicle weapons to make short work of the target. Note that it does not disable weapons so care must still be taken when engaging targets.
