Support vehicle that can repair, restore and salvage vehicles. Has increased repair speed.
The 18-tonne Recovery Half-Track is a DAK utility vehicle. In multiplayer skirmishes It is available from the Mechanized Kompanie and requires an additional research, Support Armor Elements, to access.
A non-combat vehicle, the recovery halftrack (and its USF equivalent) has the highest repair rate in the game. This unit is also capable of salvaging vehicle wrecks, which grants the player fuel proportional to the vehicle (ex. more expensive vehicle wrecks will yield more fuel) but destroys the wreck upon completion. The recovery halftrack also passively repairs itself when stationary and out of combat.
Perhaps the most unique ability of the recovery halftrack is restoring wrecked vehicles. This allows the recovery halftrack to perform a lengthy 'channel time', where upon completion the vehicle wreck is 'revived' again as a unit controlled by the DAK player. This does include other faction vehicles that the DAK normally cannot access. The vehicle is revived with very low health and with the 'Engined Damaged' state, meaning it will need to be repaired as soon as possible. The ability costs resources (Manpower and Fuel) in order to initiate, although the cost is lower than the actual cost required to build the unit normally. The revived unit still contributes to upkeep and population cap just like any other unit.
The recovery halftrack has no weapons and thus is unable to defend itself. It also has very low durability. As such care should be taken when moving it closer to enemies.
This unit does not count as a vehicle for the purposes of Combined Arms and Vehicle Awareness.

Repair: Active ability. This unit can repair damaged vehicles and emplacements. It has the highest repair rate in the game.
Battlefield Repairs: Passive ability. This unit will self-repair itself when stationary and out of combat.
Restore Wrecked Vehicle: Active ability. Allows the recovery vehicle to restore a wrecked vehicle into a functional but damaged state. Costs Manpower and Fuel to initiate, although this cost is less than the actual cost of producing the wrecked unit normally. Takes a lengthy amount of time to finish, scaling proportionally with the vehicle (ex. heavier, more expensive tanks will take longer). When the vehicle is 'revived', it is brought under control of the DAK player with very low health and the 'Engine Damaged' state.
Salvage Wrecked Vehicle: Active ability. Salvages a vehicle wreck, granting resources but destroys the wreck. Grants Fuel proportional to the vehicle (ex. heavier, more expensive tanks will grant more Fuel).
Support Veterancy: Passive ability. This unit receives veterancy experience from nearby allies as those units earn experience. This allows it to still earn experience even when not directly dealing damage.
Vehicle Capture: Passive ability. The unit gains increased movement speed, rotation rate, and is able to capture/decapture territory. Requires the Rapid Advance upgrade from the Armory.
Smoke Canisters: Active ability. Drops smoke directly in front of the vehicle. Requires the Vehicle Survival Package upgrade from the Armory.
Panzer Storm: Active battlegroup ability. Upon activation, globally increases the speed of all vehicles and grants them immunity to engine criticals for the duration.
