Immobile heavy weapon very effective against stationary targets. Automatically fires on nearby enemies within its arc Shorter barrage range than emplaced artillery
The Cannone da 105/28 Howitzer is an advanced artillery team weapon unit. In skirmishes it is only available as a call-in from the DAK Italian Infantry Battlegroup. Once unlocked in the appropriate battlegroup, it can be deployed to the field as a call-in, towed by a
This artillery unit is one of the heavier artillery the DAK can field. It can change firing direction but otherwise is immobile and is completely dependent on towing in order to change positions.
Like most heavy weapons, it must be set-up before it can fire, and can only fire within its range and arc of fire. It has decent range but a very narrow arc of fire, and so will need to re-setup to change direction frequently.
Unlike many artillery, it can auto attack targets albeit within a shorter range than its barrage range. This is quite powerful as similar to mortars, it means it can actively contribute to fights even when its barrage is on cooldown. As a downside, both its auto attack range and its barrage range are shorter than typical heavy artillery emplacements. Towing will be necessary to change positions frequently though this can be rewarding since it can auto attack, potentially making it a deadly weapon due to frequency of attacks compared to other artillery.
Note that team weapon members are easier to hit (and thus in general are easier to kill) - as such thus care must be taken as a sneaky flank can easily wipe them out.
Like any other artillery, it is best used at long range and far away from threats as if it is caught out, it has little ability to defend itself or escape easily. Since it is a heavy artillery weapon it tends to have more destructive barrages capable of far more damage and area of effect. Its explosions deform the environment and can even create light cover in the form of craters.
By default the unit comes with High-Explosive Barrage and Smoke Barrages. It does not gain any new abilities upon reaching veterancy level 1.

High-Explosive Barrage: Fires multiple volleys at the target area. Has a large minimum range for the Cannone. As it is heavier artillery, its barrages are far more damaging with a wider blast radius than most. Its explosions will deform the environment and can create light cover in the form of craters.
Smoke Barrage: Fires multiple smoke rounds at the target area. Smoke barrages deal no damage and instead, leave lingering smoke clouds that obscure vision for all units attempting to look through them. Smoke is useful for a variety of offensive and defensive purposes.

Cannone da 105/28 Field Howitzer
The Cannone, despite being a towed gun, did not function any differently from fixed howitzer emplacements. The following changes are to make the Cannone a unit with a shorter barrage range that wants to be towed closer to the front line where it can utilize its new auto-fire functionality.
Can now auto-fire at targets within range 115 and are in its arc of fire
Barrage range reduced from 275 to 250
Barrage angle scatter reduced from 8 to 7.5
