Heavy tank extremely effective against all targets. Strong front and side armor.
Note: This refers to the DAK version. For the with the Wehrmacht version, see here:
The Tiger Heavy Tank is an elite DAK heavy tank. In multiplayer skirmishes it is only available as a call-in from the Armored Reserves Deployment System (which requires a Panzerarmee Kommand and an additional research upgrade from the Headquarters).
It is the heaviest tank the Axis factions can field in skirmishes, and essentially rivals the Allied equivalent, the Churchill Black Prince Tank.
The Tiger has the largest default health in the game, tied with the Churchill IV and Black Prince tanks. It also has one of the highest armour values in the game, with similar frontal armour to the aforementioned tanks but noticeably worse rear armour. As such, many weapons will struggle to penetrate its frontal armour, although as with all vehicles its flanks are vulnerabilities.
Armed with a powerful main weapon, the Tiger Tank has among the most powerful weapons in the game, effective against all ground targets as it can fight heavy armour while also having great area damage against infantry. It makes an excellent anchor unit for holding an area or to push through the frontline, so long as it has support to help against anti-tank weapons and potential flanks.
Such a combination of durability and powerful main cannon makes it a behemoth of a vehicle, able to withstand lots of punishment while dishing out incredible damage on its own. All of this comes with a massive cost however, it requires a lot of late game research to unlock in the first place, alongside a very expensive resource cost to call in once it is available. Once on the field it has a massive Manpower upkeep too. As expected of a heavy tank, the Tiger is among the slowest vehicles in the game (though it has higher top speed over the Black Prince), and thus care must be taken as it can easily be flanked due to its lack of mobility. This is especially true of its rear, which has such low armour that many anti-vehicle weapons can penetrate it. Its lack of mobility also means it will be difficult to pull out of a bad position should it over-commit its positioning.
The DAK Tiger benefits from various DAK upgrades including the Armory upgrades. This allows it to scale better than the Wehrmacht version. For example, it can actually gain more health via Vehicle Survival Package and Emergency Repair Kits upgrades, allowing it to become the highest health unit in the game.

S-Mine Launchers: Active ability gained upon reaching veterancy level 1. When activated, the unit immediately detonates explosives in a small area all around it, dealing damage and suppressing infantry. This is essentially an emergency defensive option when infantry are getting too close to the Tiger tank and need to be suppressed immediately.

MG 34 Machine Gun: Upgrades the unit with a top mounted MG, which can rotate to face any direction. Improves anti-infantry performance.

Afrikakorps Tiger Deployment Call-In – We love that this unit is seeing more play! However, it is hitting the battlefield too quickly and does not allow enough time for the proper counterplay. We are increasing the cost to make this unit a bit less cost effective. This will also make teching straight for it riskier.
Fuel cost increased from 180 to 220

The Tiger and the Black Prince are receiving a significant boost to their frontal armor to address survivability issues in head-on engagements. We are not increasing their side or rear armor to reward flanking opponents.
